A note from Jeff

Slow cooked onion basil chicken.

Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,

Campaign season is in full swing. Please see below for ways you can lend a hand.

-Tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. at Tony’s Sausage House, I am having a meeting with constituents. Come in and let me buy you a cup of coffee.

-This was a very busy week. I got a chance to door knock up and down the district every day that the weather would permit. In addition, I got a little time to attend the Tuesday night Kenton Ruritan club’s monthly meeting, Thursday night’s Kent County GOP regional meeting, the Marydel Fire Company’s monthly wing night Friday night, a Kenton Cleanup (sponsored by the Town of Kenton, myself, and Senator Lawson) for the town residents on Saturday (it continued into today), and a sangria event at Harvest Ridge Winery.

-IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO GET INVOLVED, below are a list of upcoming events. I would love to have you join me and my team for any or all of these events. Please email us if you would like more details:
Monday, July 14th at the Kenton Ruritan is the monthly meeting of the 11th District GOP
Wednesday, July 16th is the GOP House PAC fundraiser at the Lewes Yacht Club
Thursday at noon we are stuffing envelopes at the Kent County GOP for a piece of mail I am sending out. Please join us and I will treat you to lunch.
Thursday night at 6:45 p.m. at Frazier’s is a Kent County YR meeting.
Door knocking Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (weather permitting). We need drivers and door knockers.

-If you would like a Jeff Spiegelman yard sign, please email Kira at kira.tieman@gmail.com. Also, because of all the recent storms, it would be very helpful if the Friends for Jeff Spiegelman kept an eye out for signs that might have gotten damaged or fallen over. If you see one, please let Kira know.

-If you would like to host a Jeff Spiegelman event at your house, please email Samantha at manager@jeffderepresentative.com. We would be happy to work with your schedule for a BBQ, a simple coffee, a quick chat with your friends/neighbors, or whatever else you had in mind.

-If you are interested in making a donation to the Jeff Spiegelman cmapaign, please send a check to Friends for Jeff Spiegelman. PO Box 869. Clayton, DE 19938. You can also make an online donation athttps://secure.piryx.com/donate/6vHF3dJM/Friends-For-Jeff-Spiegelman/

This recipe works for other meats besides chicken. I know it is not to everyone’s tastes, but I tried it on a rabbit that I got from Haas Butchers.
-6 whole shallots, pealed
-2 large handfuls of carrot chips
-1 chopped medium onion
-3 cloves of garlic
-3/4 cup fresh basil
-Salt and pepper to taste
-teaspoon olive oil
-1 cup white wine
-1 whole chicken

Combine 1/2 the onion, basil, garlic, salt, pepper, wine, and olive oil to a food processor and chop. Put the chicken, the rest of the onion, shallots, and carrots in the slow cooker. You can stuff the body cavity with some of the veggies. Add what is in the food processor. Cook on low 4-6 hours or until fully cooked.

— Thanks.
