Friends for Jeff Spiegelman

Hello everyone and welcome (or welcome back) to my weekly update and recipe list.

-We have a light week as we reload after the election in addition to getting caught up on school work and constituent concerns.

-Tuesday night is the Kenton Ruritan meeting.

-Friday night I am a guest judge for a pig calling contest at the Felton Fire Hall. Friday night is also the one year anniversary celebration for Harvest Ridge Winery

-Over the next couple of weeks we will be planning our next round of meetings with constituents. Stay tuned for more details.

A previous recipe of mine was for Butterfinger milkshakes. This recipe is very similar except for some options on ingredients. While not, in any way, health food, it is a good way to put back on the 15lbs lost during campaign season….

Base;

-2 scoops vanilla icecream

-1/2 cup milk (use more or less milk to control thickness)

-1 tbs chocolate syrup

Candy options

-Chocolate peppermint milkshake. Drop 4 miniature Peppermint Patties in the bottom of the blender. Add the milk. Blend until the candy bars are crumbed. Add the other ingredients. Blend until smooth.

-Peanut butter cup milkshake. Same as above but with 3 miniature peanut butter cups.

-Chocolate toffee. Blend 4 miniature bars until crumbled. Add base. Blend until smooth.

-You get the idea. Softer candies can be placed at the bottom with the base on top. Harder candies must be blended first. In-between candies need the milk first.
