Back to Work- Leftover Jerk Pizza- April 23rd Update

Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,

Thanks to Governor Carney for stopping by one of my constituent meetings. I look forward to many more conversations about how we can better serve this great state.

-On Tuesday we are back from Spring Break and there is a lot to do. Sometime in the next few weeks and months we will be voting for or against multiple tax increases, the budget, the death penalty, legalization of marijuana, and many more.

-Tuesday is a lunch hosted by Wesley College and a dinner hosted by the Council of State Governments.

-On Wednesday is a legislative reception hosted by the Associated Builders and Contractors.

-On Thursday is a biotechnology industry lunch and, of course, the 2017 NFL draft. Go Eagles!

-On Friday begins the Delaware Outdoor Expo at the Harrington Fairgrounds. I am planning on attending at some point during the weekend.

-Saturday is the 2017 Delaware GOP State Convention. We will be voting on a new party chairperson.

-Looking ahead, on Monday of next week starting at 6 p.m. is a Community Cafe outreach event at Little Italy Pizza Shop in Townsend hosted by Troop 9. The public is invited to attend.

-I am happy to announce my Spring 2017 constituent meeting schedule.

Even I get lazy sometimes with food. Usually, that spells trouble for my digestive system. This time it was just a way to spruce up some leftover pizza

-1 slice leftover cheese pizza

-1 small pinch thyme

-1 pinch ground allspice

-1 pinch ground habanero, Scotch bonnet, or African yellow chili powder.

Add the spices to the pizza. Bake at 350 degrees until the bottom is crispy. Eat. Enjoy.

— Thanks.
