Hartly Hardware Thursday- Plank Salmon- April 30th 2017 Update

Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,

The next two weeks of committee hearings should be lively as we are facing some very important issues in the state. This week, on Wednesday, will be the Extreme Crimes Prevention Act. If it passes, this bill will reinstate the Death Penalty in Delaware.

-Tomorrow evening is the Community Cafe event at Little Italy Pizza Shop in Townsend at 6 p.m. sponsored by the Delaware State Police Troop 9.

-On Tuesday, I will be participating in the annual Boots and Badges blood drive sponsored by the Blood Bank of Delaware. I hope my O+ can do some good for someone.

-On Wednesday is the annual memorial for the fallen members of the Delaware State Police. This year, tragically and recently, we have another name to add to the wall.

-Thursday is another meeting with constituents at Hartly Harware at 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Then I have a Voting Machine Task Force meeting.

-Happy 300th Birthday, Dover. Saturday is Dover Days!

I invite constituents to stop by any of the following meetings to share a question or concern about a legislative or district matter that may be on their mind. You can also use this opportunity to bring me your completed copy of my 2017 Legislative Survey:

For this recipe, the fattier the piece of salmon the better.

-1 slab of salmon (big enough to take up the whole wood plank)

-1 cedar wood plank

-1 pinch crushed rosemary

-salt and pepper to taste

-1 tablespoon olive oil

Soak the wood plank in water 6 hours before cooking. Get your grill to 375 degrees. Combine the spices and olive oil and rub the fish with it. When the plank is hot, place the fish on it SKIN UP. Cook until it just begins to flake with a fork. Keep a spray bottle with water nearby to keep the plank from catching fire.

— Thanks.
