-We are still out of session this week. We go back to work next Tuesday
-Friday evening is another great Marydel Wing Night
-On Saturday, I am going to try to attend the Smyrna High School FFA plant sale. They have 4 sales from 9am-Noon scattered throughout Saturdays in April and May. I have a large crown of thorns plant that I have been growing since high school agriculture classes that I am going to be donating back to the place where I got it almost 20 years ago.
-Here is our constituent meeting schedule. Come to any or all of these events for a little political discussion!
Friday, April 27th Harvest Ridge 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Monday, May 14th Mamie Warren Senior Center Noon to 1 p.m.
This recipe was experimental cooking gone well. I do not remember what the exact amounts were. So, my suggestion is to guess-timate
-1-ish cup ketchup
-1 bottle pomegranate molasses (I found it at Willy’s Farms)
-1 diced clove garlic
-Chili powder, cumin, coriander, pepper, paprika, onion powder
-Dash of apple cider vinegar
-Dash of Worcester sauce
-1 long hot pepper, stem removed, cut it half
Combine all ingredients and slowly bring to a light boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, turn to low, cover, and let simmer a few hours, stirring occasionally. Remove pepper and discard. Serve with ribs, chicken, or whatever other items suite your bbq sauce needs
