Willey Farms Moved to 9/17- Mead Glaze- September 9th 2018 Update

Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,

Sorry for the confusion. I had to move my meeting with constituents at Willey Farms from tomorrow (9/10) to the following Monday (9/17)

-Please remember, if we do get a strong storm this week, to please pick up your Spiegelman yard signs. Please also remember to put them back in your yard when the storm passes. 10 feet from the road please or DelDOT will come on to your property to take them

-L’shana Tova to people of the Jewish faith.

-Monday night is a Kenton Town Council meeting at 7pm at the Kenton School

-Tuesday night I am attending the annual 9/11 memorial ceremony in Smyrna. If you have not seen it, this is a powerful and moving event that the towns of Smyrna and Clayton put on every year at Citizens Hose Company.

-Saturday is the Hartly Car Show.

-If you would like a sign for your yard, please email me your address or stop by one of our constituent meetings below. Thank you and let’s turn the streets of the 11th into “yellow sign roads”.

-We are looking for volunteers to help us on Saturday, September 22nd for the annual Townsend Parade. We are going to have a float and we need people to walk and ride with us in our familiar campaign yellow. No experience necessary. Show up and we will have shirts for you. Please let me know if you are interested. Lineup is at 9 a.m. for a 10 a.m. kick-off.

-COME ONE, COME ALL. All are invited to our constituent meetings. Come to any or all for some good conversation. I will have my yellow signs with me at these events if you would like to pick one up for your yard.

Confession; I hate mead. I had a bottle of it around the house from Harvest Ridge win club and I didn’t know what to do with it. I have been told it is very good mead, if you like mead (no offense intended, Chuck). I was cooking lamb and wanted some sort of sweet glaze. My wife suggestion using the mead somehow. With some simple but creative cooking, she was right. She was very very right. It was delicious.

-500ml mead

-1 cup almond slices

-Dash of salt

Combine all ingredients and let sit overnight. Boil down by half. Let cool and use as a drizzle or a glaze. See, simple and delicious.

— Thanks.
