DelDOT Traffic Alert: Closure of the Intersection of Sunnyside Road and Rabbit Chase Lane

Smyrna – The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) and local officials announce the temporary closure of the intersection of Sunnyside Road (Kent Road 90) and Rabbit Chase Lane.

Closure Details:

Dates: NOW through September 4th.

Location: Rabbit Chase Lane and Sunnyside Road.

Reason: Construction of a new traffic roundabout to improve traffic flow and safety at this intersection.

Detour Information:

Northbound Sunnyside Road Traffic: Turn right onto left onto Brenford Road (CR 42), left onto US 13 / N. Dupont Boulevard and left onto S. Carter Road (CR 137).

Southbound Sunnyside Road Traffic: Turn left onto S. Carter Road (CR 146), right onto US 13 / N. Dupont Boulevard, right onto Brenford Road (CR 42), and right onto Ryan Road (CR 146).

Rabbit Chase Lane Traffic: Use Brenford Road (CR 42)

Wicksfield Subdivision: South entrance at Hallwell Drive is closed. Access through the north entrance at Wicksfield Boulevard

General Travel: Drivers should expect minor delays, use caution, and follow all posted construction signs in the Smyrna area.
