Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,
R.I.P. Representative Harold J. Peterman. Funeral services are being held on Thursday. Jack was universally respected in Legislative Hall and widely considered to be a perfect gentleman. I sat next to him in my freshman term and had many a laugh with him. He had a long and successful life in public service at the county and state level. He will be sorely missed.

-I am happy to announce my next round of constituent meetings through the summer. I invite constituents to stop by one of the following meetings to share a question or concern about a legislative or district matter that may be on their minds:
· ICE CREAM SOCIAL – Wednesday, August 24th – 12-noon to 1 p.m. – Mamie Warren Senior Center (1775 Wheatleys Pond Road, Smyrna). Join Jeff for a free scoop of ice cream.
This previous week, my grandparents from Miami were in town. I managed to get in a fishing trip with Grandpa and we had a great day. We took the Rockfish fillets home and cooked them in half a dozen different ways for dinner. This was our favorite:
-1 cedar wood plank soaked in water for at least 1 hour
-1 fillet of Rockfish, Salmon, Mahi, or another firm fish.
-salt, pepper, Old Bay, and butter.
Preheat your grill to medium heat and leave the burner that will be below the plank off or on low. Place the fish on the plank and season with a bit of butter, salt, pepper, and old bay. Cook on the grill, skin down, until the fish begins to flake. Do not allow the plank to catch fire (aka, turn the heat down). Essentially you are baking the fish in the grill on the plank. It is that easy and DELICIOUS.
