Stay-home Update 3/29/2020

Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,

-Please let me know if you are not getting the updates my staff and I are putting out from my legislative email.  That is where the official information is coming from on the virus as up to the minute as the government will allow me to be.

-Our meetings with constituents are on delay until the stay at home order has passed.  When it is all over we will get right back into the swing of things.  I am looking forward to seeing you all again.

-You may have gotten a postcard from me announcing my 2020 Constituent Survey.  While you are home during the virus, hopefully safe and managing this crisis as best you can, feel free to take the survey by going to www.jeffderepresentative.com/.  The survey was created without any government or taxpayer money. 

How about a nice stay at home recipe?  I have been doing a lot of cooking lately.  And a lot of dishes.  Oh well.  This one came to me when I found a couple of leftover items to play with.  

-Sausage (I used some sweet Italian venison sausage)

-Eggs

-1 jar tomato sauce

-1 beer

Cook the sausage as you normally would in a sauce pan with a tight fitting lid on the stovetop.  When cooked, take out and allow the pan to cool a bit.  You want to leave all of the leftover stuff from the sausage in the pan.  When it has cooled enough for safety, add the jar of tomato sauce and the beer.  Add half a cup of water.  Cover and bring to a boil.  Crack the eggs and pour them gently into the boiling goo.  Cover and poach until done to your liking.  Scoop up with a slotted spoon and serve on an English muffin.
