We are back. I know a lot of you missed these weekly updates/recipes.
-Monday evening is a Kenton Town Council meeting. Wednesday evening is a Townsend Town Council meeting.
-Wednesday evening is the Kent County GOP Christmas Party at Grotto’s in Dover beginning at 6:30 p.m. Come join us!
-Thursday morning I am looking forward to the yearly DelDOT briefing discussing their upcoming plans and proposed budget for FY 2018.
-Thank you to everyone who helped us get up our signs. If you see any more, please let me know. If you have some, please get in touch with me so we can organize how to get them into storage for 2018’s election.
-The following dates and times have been scheduled for public meetings with constituents. Please join us for any or all of them. More days and times will be scheduled shortly. I have set theses times aside for you to come out to talk about issues facing the state of Delaware or just to chat with the good people of the 11th, or any, district.

-The day after Thanksgiving in the Spiegelman household is traditionally known as Fry-day. We take the leftover oil from frying a turkey and use it to fry some creative and delicious… well, whatever we can find. This was one of this year’s successes.
-Whole poblano peppers
-Mild taco seasoning
-Shredded cheddar cheese
-Beer batter
Cut the tops off the peppers and de-seed them. Place half a teaspoon of taco seasoning in the pepper. Shake to coat and dump out the excess. Fill with cheese and toothpick the top of the pepper back on to close. Prep the beer batter. Coat the pepper in the batter, making sure to coat the whole thing. Deep fry until the batter begins to turn a golden brown. Eat and understand what kind of damage you just caused to your cardiovascular system.
