Friends for Jeff Spiegelman

I hope you remembered to Spring forward.  We REALLY need to do something about this whole “changing the clock every 6-months” thing.

-Busy week ahead.  On Monday I am speaking to a group of 7th graders in Capital School District about the branches of government.  Monday and Wednesday evenings are the final 2020 presentation meetings of the Joint Government Oversite and Sunset Committee.

-On Tuesday from 8am-9am is our next meeting with constituents at Eats and Sweets on Main Street in Smyrna.  Come join us and let me buy you a cup of coffee.

-On Thursday evening is the monthly meeting of the Kent County GOP meeting at Grottos Pizza in Dover.  The meeting begins at 7pm.

-We are putting the final touches on our 2020 Constituent Survey.  Stay tuned for more details

-We are still putting together our next round of meetings with constituents.  Stay tuned.

I love turkey legs.  This was a fun recipe to use for those of us who like things spicy.  Use your favorite hot sauce that is about to expire and needs to be used up.

-Salt

-Cider vinegar

-2 cloves garlic

-Spicy peppers (I used long hots)

-Lots of hot sauce

-Turkey legs

Slice the hot peppers and garlic.  Make a brine using water, salt, and a large dash of vinegar.  Add the peppers and garlic.  Marinate the legs in the brine overnight.  Discard the brine.  Add enough hot sauce to coat the legs.  Marinate overnight again.  Smoke at 250 for 3 hours.  Flip.  Keep cooking another 2-3 hours or until the legs hit 180.  Enjoy.

-Enjoy your week.
