Little Italy Pizza Shop- Turkey Stroganoff- February 23 2020 Update

I am going to get my taxes done tomorrow.  May I make a strong suggestion that everyone out there not forget to do that before April…. Just saying….


-On Tuesday is my next meeting with constituents at Little Italy Pizza Shop in Townsend from Noon to 1pm.  The restaurant is still being renovated so space may be limited.


-Tuesday afternoon is the bill signing ceremony for HB152, of which I am the prime sponsor.  This bill helps close a loophole in the DUI laws that would allow someone to potentially avoid having to get a court ordered interlock device on their vehicle.


-Tuesday evening I will be attending Governor Carney’s State of the State Town Hall at the Odessa Fire Hall starting at 6pm.


-On Thursday evening I am speaking to a Boy Scout troop in Clayton about the importance of public service.


-We are still putting together our next round of meetings with constituents.  Stay tuned.


It had been a while since I had made stroganoff.  Below is a simplified recipe for those of us who have had busy weeks.


-1 ½ lbs ground turkey

-1 garlic clove, sliced

-1 tbpn onion flakes and rosemary

-12oz can peas, drained and rinsed.

-3 cups dry egg noodles

-Dash of oil

-Salt and pepper to taste

-1 can mushroom soup


Heat the oil on medium heat.  Brown the ground turkey while adding the garlic, onion, rosemary, salt and pepper.  When finished, add the soup, peas, and noodles.  Add just enough water to cover all the noodles.  Bring to a boil.  Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer until the noodles are soft (about 15-20 minutes).  Enjoy.
