I do not do many desserts. But every once in a while, I have a sweet tooth as well. I like this recipe now because it still feels like we are in between seasons. So you get a little of the hot chocolate of wintertime but you throw in some spice and make it frozen while longing for summer.

– 1 tablespoon chipotle powder

– 1 ½ cup milk

– cocoa powder

Slowly heat 1 cup milk in a pot until it is very hot but not boiling. Add the chipotle pepper and enough cocoa powder to make it too chocolaty for your taste. You want it to be too much because it will dilute a bit. Take off the heat. Add a ½ cup milk to dilute and bring down to room temperature. Crush a dozen ice cubes in a blender. Pour most of the hot chocolate over the ice and blend again until smooth. Adjust the thickness by adding more ice to make thicker or more hot chocolate to make it thinner.

— Thanks.
