Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,

The Delaware General Assembly is on Joint Finance break until March.  The JFC and Bond Committees are hearing presentations from state agencies while putting together a budget that we will be voting on in May or June.

 

-On Wednesday is the next meeting of the Townsend Town Council.  Wednesday evening is also Margaret Moore’s retirement ceremony.  After decades of work for the Republican House Caucus she will be sorely missed.

 

-On Thursday I am speaking to the Leadership Central Delaware Class of 2020 on HB110, the Marijuana Control Act.  Thursday evening is a Joint Sunset Committee meeting.

 

-On Friday morning I am a guest judge for the state We The People competition at Milford High School.

 

-Friday evening from 5 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. is our next meeting with constituents at Harvest Ridge Winery on Westville Road in Marydel.  Come out for a glass of wine and/or some political conversation.

 

Very little time to cook this previous week while we were in session.  Instead, we had a lot of, what we call in my household, “every man for themselves” dinners.  I did manage to get to the Italian Market on Rt13 just south of the Wilmington University Campus for one of our favorite quick meals.  It is really good if you are busy.

-prosciutto sliced thin

-fine cheese sliced thin

-good bread cut into 1-inch thick slices

Add a slice of prosciutto to the top of a piece of bread.  Add a slice of cheese on top of that.  Eat while on your phone and laptop trying to get caught up on work from the week.
