Friends for Jeff Spiegelman

A special welcome to Representative Johnny Mautz of the Maryland House of Delegates to this weekly email list. Happy to work with you on sportsman issues that effect both our states.

-On Wednesday is my next meeting with constituents at Little Italy Pizza Shop on Main Street in Townsend. See below for more details. We have had a great turnout lately for these meetings. Lets keep it up!

-On Thursday the members of the Joint Legislative Oversight and Sunset committee got called into a special meeting to discuss an issue that came up during our off season.

-Saturday is the Middltown Peach Festival and Parade. While the 11th District does have a small peace of Middletown, I will actually be assisting a fellow representative, Kevin Hensley, during the parade.

-We are pleased to announce our next round of constituent meetings. Come to any or all for some good conversation.

My local grocery store had frog legs. They are delicious, easy to cook, and a nice change of pace from your more traditional meats. Try them! You might like them. And, even if you don’t, you can always follow my golden rule of cooking; if all else fails, order pizza.

-Frog legs

-Olive Oil

-Your favorite chicken seasoning or Old Bay

Rinse and dry the frog legs and put them in a plastic ziplock bag. Generously season and sprinkle with olive oil. Seal the back and give it a shake. Let sit in the refrigerator at lease an hour. Set your grill or smoker to 225. Spray the grates with a cooking spray and put the frog legs on the grill. Cook until they reach 165, about 2 hours.

— Thanks.
