Meeting Friday Night- Black Lime and Garlic Pumpkin Seeds- October 13 2019 Update

Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,

A couple of people keep asking me about coming out with another cookbook. We are working on that now and hopefully should have something ready around the holidays.

-Not a lot going on this week. Gives me the chance to really focus on getting some real estate work done.

-Friday evening is my next meeting with constituents. Come join us at 5 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. at Painted Stave Distilling in Smyrna.

-Saturday is going to be very busy. At 9 a.m. I am attending the First State Taekwon-do tournament at Providence Creek Academy. Also that day is the Blackbird Creek Fall Festival and the Great Delaware Pumpkin Carve Festival in Harrington.

Below is our meeting with constituents schedule. Stop by one or all to chat.

-Friday, October 18 – Painted Stave 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

-Wednesday, October 30 – Little Italy Pizza Shop Noon to 1 p.m.

I’m not a big fan of pumpkin spice anything. However, I have a whole household of people who love roasted pumpkin seeds. Here is a little more exotic recipe.

-1/2 pumpkin’s worth of seeds with most of the orange goo removed

-Salt

-Black lime

-Olive Oil

-1 bulb black garlic, pressed

-Black Urfa chili powder (or another of your choice)

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Toss all ingredients and spread in a single layer on a non-stick baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt. Roast 20 minutes. Mix together and re-spread. Cook another 10 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy.

– Thanks.
