Tony’s Wednesday- Fried Noodles- October 16th Update

Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,

Thank you to everyone who has decided to display a Jeff Spiegelman yard sign. Just a reminder, please keep them 10 feet off the road or DelDOT comes and takes them and mails me a fine. Yes, even on private property.

-On Monday I have a tour of the state’s Data Analysis and Information Center facility as part of the Joint Sunset Committee’s review. At 2:30 p.m. on Monday is the opening of a new exhibit at the Delaware Public Archives about Delaware elections in the past.

-On Wednesday I am having a meeting with constituents at Tony’s Sausage House from 8-9 a.m. They are going to have some chipotle scrapple ready for us! I am excited.

-On Saturday, October 22nd, is the Clayton Railroad Days Parade and Fair. Would you like to join us in the parade? I would love to have you. Please go to https://www.facebook.com/events/1916206585273644/ for more details, call my cell listed below, or email us.

-Saturday night is a public dinner at the Hartly Fire Company starting at 3 p.m. Come out and show your support for our local firefighters.

-Thank you to everyone who has used the online system to make a donation. If you would like to make an online donation, please go to www.jeffDErepresentative.com and click on “Donate”. If you would prefer to mail a check, please send it to Friends for Jeff Spiegelman, PO BOX 869, Clayton, DE 19938. Thank you for your support!

-I will be delivering yard signs and door knocking through most of the week. Tis the season for campaigning! I am looking forward to talking to the good people of the 11th District while wearing, what has become, my signature yellow shirts. Please let me know if you are interested in joining us!

I invite constituents to stop by one of the following meetings to share a question or concern about a legislative or district matter that may be on their mind:

·         COFFEE MEETING – Wednesday, October 19th – 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. – Tony’s Sausage House (2814 Kenton Road, Dover)

·         COFFEE MEETING – Friday, November 4th – 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. – Willey Farms (Townsend)

I know this is the second week in a row about noodles. But, sometimes that happens. This one is a bit more healthy.

-1 pack stir-fry or udon noodles

-1 shallot, chopped

-2 cloves garlic, chopped

-2 leeks, chopped

-2 scrambled eggs, chopped

-1 green pepper, chopped

-1 chopped spicy pepper

-3 tablespoons chili or garlic oil (or some of each)

-3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

Cook the noodles, run under cold water, sprinkle with the soy sauce and a tablespoon of oil, and set aside. Fry the other ingredients, except the egg, in the oil until the shallots begin to turn translucent and the peppers turn soft. Add the noodles and the egg. Fry until the noodles begin to crisp.

— Thanks.
