Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,
Happy Birthday to my wife Jenn this week! I would tell you what I got her, but it is a surprise, and she reads these emails.
-Monday I have the first meeting of the Legislative Oversight and Sunset Committee via Zoom. What a strange year in the Delaware General Assembly it has already been… and it is only January.
-Monday evening is the reorganization meeting of the 11th RD GOP committee. If you live in the 11th and are a member of the GOP, please let me know and I will give you the details to go in person or get you the Zoom link.
-Tuesday morning is a House GOP caucus meeting. Again, via Zoom. Weird.
-Tuesday late morning is a Revenue and Finance meeting. We will be discussing an Earned Income Tax Credit bill which is a way of helping the working poor without raising the minimum wage. Let me know if you would like more details.
-On Thursday is the next meeting of the Kent County Broadband Working Group trying to figure out how we can get internet to the rural areas of central Delaware.
-We are looking at organizing a coffee or meeting with constituents somewhere in the Smyrna area in late February. Stay tuned for more details.
This is my favorite topping for burgers:
-1 leek, sliced
-1 clove garlic, sliced
-1 long hot pepper, sliced
-1 tbsp olive oil
-salt and pepper to taste
Heat the oil in the pan on medium-high heat. Add the long hots and leek and stir fry 2 minutes. Add the garlic and salt. Stir-fry until the leeks and garlic begin to brown. Turn off the heat and stir in the pepper. Trust me, its delicious.
-Enjoy your week.
