It is supposed to be spring this week. It is also supposed to snow…..
-On Wednesday, in addition to having a bill in committee granting liability protections to donors of wild game meat to non-profits (HB317), I am also co-sponsoring the Salvation Army’s Legislative Advocacy Day along with Senator Ernie Lopez. Thank you Salvation Army for what you do. Thank you Senator Lopez for including me.
-On Thursday we are having our next Delaware Sportsman Caucus. We will be taking a look a bit more at the Governor’s plan for modernizing the crop damage system and we will be discussing the Department of Ag’s plan with Redden State Forest. Agriculture Secretary Mike Scuse and DNREC Secretary Shawn Garvin will be our guests.
-On Saturday we have our next meeting with constituents at 3 Palms Zoo. This is also one of their annual Easter Egg Hunts. Come join the fun or come join the conversation.
-Also on Saturday is the 3rd Annual First State Chili Championship Cook-off at Harvest Ridge Winery from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

This is one of those dishes that I create in my head when walking through the supermarket. I knew we were going to be having West African seasoned chicken and yams. I needed a side dish that was regionally appropriate. Turned out pretty well.
-6 oz. whole honey roasted peanuts
-1 serrano pepper, chopped
-1 clove garlic, chopped
-1 tbsp freshly chopped ginger
-half an onion, sliced
-4 sliced green onions
-1 tbsp sesame oil
-1 dash sugar
Mix all ingredients. Stir-fry over medium heat until the onions begin to brown.
