Friday night is MOT Big Ball! Big Ball is a charity softball event at Silver Lake Park in Middletown that I look forward to every year. This year, the Spiegelman/Hensley team plays from 8 p.m.-9 p.m. This is a fun event that benefits a great cause. WE NEED PLAYERS!!!!! No experience necessary. If you are interested, please let me know.
-The Congressional Sportsman’s Caucus event Monday night was great. I look forward to working with my fellow elected officials to get this going in Delaware.
-Thank you to Smyrna School District for inviting me to last Tuesday morning’s Welcome Back Breakfast. Good luck to all the staff, teachers, and students this school year.
-This Thursday morning I will be speaking at a Smyrna Rotary breakfast.
-Friday morning is the C.R. School District back-to-school breakfast.
-FRIDAY NIGHT IS MOT BIG BALL!!!!!! 8 p.m.-9 p.m. Please join us.
-Saturday morning I will be observing Search and Rescue training on the Air Base as part of the Civil Air Patrol. Saturday afternoon is a Townsend Fire Co. BBQ.
-Sunday is a Hartly Fire Co. Breakfast.
-Cookbooks are here! For real this time. Volume II is ready for you. We are asking for a $30 donation and one of these cookbooks can be yours. It contains all the recipes from my weekly email updates from March 2014 to March 2015. Please let me know if you are interested and thank you for the support.

•Coffee Meeting — Sept. 16, 8-9 a.m., Tony’s Sausage House, 2814 Kenton Road, Dover.
•Soda and Iced Tea Meeting — Sept. 21, noon-1 p.m., Little Italy Pizza Shop, 325 Main St., Townsend.
•Ice Cream Social — Wednesday, Oct. 7, noon-1 p.m., Mamie Warren Senior Center, 1775 Wheatleys Pond Road, Smyrna. Join me for a free scoop of ice cream.
•Coffee Meeting — Oct. 12, 8-9 a.m., Willey Farms, 4092 DuPont Pkwy. (U.S. 13), Townsend.
•Meet and Greet/Wine Tasting — Oct. 30, 5-6:30 p.m., Harvest Ridge Winery, 447 Westville Road, Marydel.
Additional constituent meetings could also be scheduled. As more information becomes available on any future meetings, I will pass it along.
I schedule these gatherings to give residents in the 11th District an opportunity to ask a question or talk about issues relating to state government or the district.

-6 strawberries
-2 large tbsp vanilla Greek yogurt
-6 ice cubes
Blend the ice cubes until there are no large chunks. Add the other ingredients. Blend until smooth.
