Coffee With Constituents Thursday- Chinese Leftover Donuts- May 23 2021 Update

Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,

I hope everyone has a safe and reflective Memorial Day weekend next weekend.

-The General Assembly is on a two-week break while the Budget and Bond bills are put together.  We are back in for most of the month of June.  We still don’t know what exactly that means (in the building, virtual, or some combination of both).

-On Thursday is my next coffee with constituents at Hartly Fire Hall at 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.  I still do not know if the venue will require masks or not.  So you might want to bring them just in case they do.   Come join us!  Coffee and donuts are on me.

-At 10 a.m. on Thursday is the next meeting of the Kent Broadband working group.  We are closer to a plan of action that is going to require state and federal investment.  Thursday evening I will be touring an equine therapy facility in the 11th District.  I am really looking forward to seeing it!

I have a love/hate relationship with Chinese take-out.  I eat it, feel terrible, wait a few months, and repeat.  But one thing I love are those donuts (weird how that word appeared twice in this newsletter…).  We had some left over in the fridge and I found a fun way to spruce them up.

-6 Chinese take-out donuts

-1 air fryer

Set the air fryer to 400 degrees.  Put the donuts on the rack when up to temperature and cook for 5 minutes.  Eat, feel terrible, wait a few months, repeat.

-Enjoy your week.
