Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,
I hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter and Passover. We are still out of session in Legislative Hall until next week.
-Monday evening is our last Sunset Committee meeting. The Council on Corrections will be doing a presentation.
-On Saturday, there are a lot of things going on. It’s Dover Days, the race, and a D-Day event at the AMC Museum in Dover. However, I will be attending the annual GOP Convention. Up for election this year are the chair and vice-chair of the party.
-I know I have heard from a lot of you with concerns about the intersection at Brenford/Seeneytown Road and Seven Hickories Road. DelDOT has scheduled a town hall meeting about their plans for the intersection. The event is open to the public and is going to be held at the Cheswold Fire Company from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13th.
-Over the next couple of weeks we will be putting together our next round of meetings and coffees with constituents. Are there any days and times you would like us to try to schedule?
A couple weeks ago I accidentally grabbed a bag of groceries at the checkout that belonged to the person ahead of me. So, if you are out there and are wondering where your Mountain Dew and vanilla snack packs went…. my bad. Either way, I don’t drink the stuff and it sat in my fridge for a couple of weeks before I finally decided to try something fun with it.
-boneless, skinless chicken thighs
-2 chopped garlic cloves
-1/4 cup soy
-couple dashes of Worcestershire Sauce
-salt and pepper to taste
-24 oz Mountain Dew
Combine all ingredients and let marinade for a day or two. Grill, smoke, or bake as you normally would with chicken thighs.
