Just a reminder that we have scheduled our campaign kickoff for June 25th. See below for more details.
-Monday morning is a Troop 9 Year in Review presentation for those central Delaware legislators that are serviced by the state police out of Odessa. This includes most of the citizens of the 11th district.
-On Tuesday I am going to the presentation in Legislative Hall in honor of the state’s newest Eagle Scouts.
-On Thursday is the annual Blue-Gold PAC Lunch and Economic Discussion Panel at Dover Downs. Interested in attending? Please let me know.
-Wednesday night I am attending the Food Bank of Delaware’s reception at Woodburn.
-While I will not be attending Firefly this year, I am getting a tour of the stages and facilities on Friday.
-No update next week. Happy Father’s Day! What is Elianah getting me for our first Father’s Day together? A brand new grill! What a great gift. Thank you, pretty girl!
-We are putting together the schedule for our next round of constituent meetings for the summer. Stay tuned for more details.
-CAMPAIGN KICK-OFF. On Monday, June 25th I will be officially launching my campaign with a campaign kick-off. 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Kenton Ruritan Club in Kenton, DE. Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available and families are welcome. This event will be free of charge but donations are appreciated (Checks may be made out to Friends for Jeff Spiegelman. In June, my meals have to get a lot more simple. Here is one I put together due to limited time. It ended up being pretty good.
-Chicken sausages
-Freshly chopped salsa (most supermarkets have some version of salsa that uses fresh veggies)
-1 can re-fried beans
Grill the sausage until it is done. Heat the beans to make them easier to spread. Slice the sausage into small disks. Serve on taco or burrito shells. Come up with an impressive, overly-clever name for what you made to hide how stupid-simple this was from your loved ones and hope they are impressed.
