Friends for Jeff Spiegelman,
Fall is a wonderful season. I hope you are enjoying it.
-I have parent teacher conferences with Saul this week. I can 100% guarantee they will go better than mine did as a kid….
-Enjoy your Thanksgiving. We will be frying a turkey again and then, the next day, is “Fry-day”. Get it?
-On Sunday are a couple of Christmas celebrations. At 2 p.m. is the Marydel Christmas Parade. Afterwards is the Clayton Christmas Parade and Celebration.
-I will not be able to do an update next week but I want to give you some things that are coming up. On Monday, 12/2 at 2 p.m. is a Rural Internet project update from DTI. Let me know if you would like more details.
-Wednesday, 12/4 at 7:30 p.m. is the next Townsend Town Council meeting.
-Thursday, 12/5 I am attending a Veterans Event at JBM Intermediate School in Smyrna.
-Sunday, 12/8 is a Breakfast with Santa at the Hartly Fire Hall. That evening is the Layla Crushes Cancer Benefit at the Marydel Fire Hall. I will be donating an item.
We are still putting together our full schedule of meetings with constituents. In the meantime, we have a new (old) location:
-12/12 If Heaven Had A Flavor on Main Street in Clayton. This is the former Young Bean. 8 a.m.- 9 a.m.
I had some Bloody Mary mix left over. I had some pork left over. I had some inspiration.
-1.5 lbs pork country ribs
-tbsp oil
-1 cup Bloody Mary mix
-dash of whatever dry seasoning you would normally put in your Bloody Mary
-hot sauce
-horseradish
-sandwich rolls
Season the ribs with salt and pepper. Heat the oil and brown the ribs on all sides. Put the ribs in a slow cooker with the mix and seasoning. Cook on low until tender (about 6 hours). When done, pull the pork. Serve on sandwich rolls with a dash of hot sauce and a scoop of horseradish.
Thanks.
