LIPS Tuesday- Apple Cider Vinegar Wings- February 19 2018 Update

A special shout-out to retiring State Auditor Tom Wagner. Thank you for all of your support over the years and good luck on whatever your future holds.

 

-Happy birthday, Presidents Lincoln and Washington.

 

-Tuesday is our next meeting with constituents at Little Italy Pizza Shop on Main St. in Townsend at noon. Come join us.

 

-Tuesday evening is another meeting of the Joint Sunset Committee.

 

-Wednesday evening is a Chicken and Dumplings dinner by the Townsend Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

 

-Delaware State Police Troop 9 will be holding a Community Café on February 23rd at 9:00 a.m. at the Middletown Chick-fil-A (701 S. Ridge Avenue, Middletown). The Community Café will include representatives from Troop 9 Administration and the troop’s Community Outreach Officer, as well as representatives from Middletown Police Department. The law enforcement personnel will be on hand to meet and interact with members of the public.

 

-On Saturday is the always popular I Love Smyrna School District Day. I will be walking around for most of the day. State Treasurer Ken Simpler’s team will be at our booth with us.

 

-Here is our constituent meeting schedule. Come to any or all of these events for a little political discussion! Please note we had to move the meeting at Harvest Ridge back a week.

Tuesday, Feb. 20th Little Italy Noon to 1 p.m.

Friday, March 9th Willey’s 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Saturday, March 24th  with a rain date of Saturday, March 31st  3 Palms Zoo   Noon to 1 p.m.

Friday, April 27th Harvest Ridge 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Monday, May 14th Mamie Warren Senior Center Noon to 1 p.m.

Wednesday, May 23rd Young Bean 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

 

Not sure how this one is going to work out. It is in my fridge right now marinating and I am going to cook it shortly

-1 dozen chicken wings

-apple cider vinegar

-salt

 

Marinate the wings overnight in a tablespoon of salt and enough vinegar to cover them. 1 hour before cooking, take the wings out of the marinade, pat dry, salt, and put back in the fridge. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roast wings on rack for 45-50 minutes. Brush with vinegar and dash of salt in the last 5 minutes.
