Almost September. Good luck to all the parents, teachers, and students going back to school (however it is that your school district is determining what “back to school” means this crazy year).
-For those who are getting back into the woods this week for the variety of seasons that start September 1st, please be safe and thank you for enjoying Delaware’s outdoor and sportsman heritage.
-On Wednesday, the House GOP Caucus is meeting virtually to talk about the variety of issues surrounding our state and country.
-The Kent County Rural Broadband Committee is holding a Zoom meeting on Wednesday (September 2nd) to address questions and concerns about wireless broadband accessibility in the rural areas of central Delaware. This is a similar event to the meeting that I held last week with James Collins, Delaware Chief Information Officer.

I was over at a friend’s house last night for crabs (who, ironically, needs rural internet badly). She does not normally eat the claws and I was pondering today what to do with them that could make most people’s least favorite meat on a Blue Crab more delicious. I am very happy with the results of a recipe I am calling THE CLAW.
-1 dozen or more crab claws, meat carefully picked
-hot dog bun
-1/2 tbsp butter
-Old Bay to taste
-lemon wedge
-chopped parsley
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Mix in as much Old Bay as you like. Toast the hot dog bun. Pile the crab meat on the hot dog bun. Heavily brush with the butter mix. Squeeze the lemon over the sandwich and garnish with the parsley. Enjoy.
