I get the tradition of it being unholy hot during fair time. But, this is maybe a little too much. Or, is it all a matter of degrees? GET IT?!?!?! Seriously, though, take care in this heat.
-No update next week. Happy 11th Anniversary to the best of women and best of wives, Jenn.
-Last week I got a tour of the medical marijuana facility in Smyrna. I learned a lot about how it works, but I am still hearing some concerns from constituents about the facilities and program. If you have anything you would like to share with me, please let me know.
-Thursday evening I am attending Governor’s Day at the fair. Hopefully, it will not be as dangerously hot.
We are still working on putting the finishing touches on our next round of constituent meetings. Here is what we have scheduled so far. Stop by one or all!
-Wednesday, August 14 – Mamie Warren Senior Center Noon to 1 p.m.
-Tuesday, August 20 – Eats & Sweets 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
-Saturday, September 7 – 3 Palms Zoo Noon to 1 p.m. NEW LOCATION 1060 Vandyke Greenspring Rd Townsend 19734
-Monday, September 23 – Hartly Hardware 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
-Friday, October 18 – Painted Stave 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
-Wednesday, October 30 – Little Italy Noon to 1 p.m.
I made some fried oysters tonight. I didn’t have enough flour left to dredge the last few. But, I had a couple oysters and some of the egg left. What to do…..?
-2-3 oysters
-1 egg, beaten
-1 dash of Old Bay
Add the Old Bay to the beaten egg. GENTLY mix in the oysters. Cook on medium heat, GENTLY flipping once until the oyster is cooked through. Enjoy.
