I read an article behind the science of reverse marinading. This is when you marinade the meat after you cook it and then reheat it. Pretty cool stuff. The recipe below reflects some of the changes I made to what the article was suggesting
-Chicken drumsticks
-Salt, pepper, garlic powder (optional), and onion powder (optional)
-Your favorite chicken marinade
Pat dry and season the chicken with the salt, pepper, garlic, and onion. Let sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour. Preheat grill to 275. Cook the chicken until internal temp reached 185. Take off the heat and let cool. Put the chicken in a ziplock bag and pour in the marinade. Refrigerate for at least least an hour and no more than 2 or 3. Preheat grill to 300. Place the chicken back on the grill until internal temperature is around 165. Lightly brush with the marinade and take off the grill. Eat and enjoy.
— Thanks.
